CNMC Goldmine sees output lift in 2026 after plant expansion

CNMC Goldmine Holdings Limited told shareholders on Apr, 24 2026 that it expects a marked increase in gold production next year, following the completion of an expansion project that boosted its carbon-in-leach processing capacity by 60% to 800 tonnes per day in Apr, 2025.

The miner said 2026 will be the first full year to capture the benefits of the larger plant, supplemented by two new underground vertical mining facilities that should provide access to higher-grade ore once completed.

Management cautioned that quarterly production can still fluctuate because of ore grade variation, mining sequence and weather, but noted that ore-blending strategies and stockpiling help maintain steady throughput.

CNMC Goldmine added that it now meets the quantitative thresholds for a potential transfer to the Singapore Exchange Mainboard and will weigh the move in line with shareholder feedback and long-term value considerations.

Cost control remains a priority, with the company investing in newer power-generation equipment and higher-capacity mining machinery to reduce fuel usage and manpower needs—measures it said are particularly important amid elevated fuel prices linked to the ongoing war.

On other matters, CNMC Goldmine reiterated that it has appealed a Notice of Additional Assessment from Malaysia’s Inland Revenue Board and will update the market on any developments. The geology team is reviewing data from the Kelgold concession, while no exploration was conducted at the CNMC Pulai concessions during the period.

Responding to recent share-price volatility, the company said it will focus on operational performance, disciplined cost management and enhanced investor outreach to support long-term shareholder value.
