JINYAN KAOLIN (HKEX: 02693) has entered into a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with Suzhou China Nonmetallic Minerals Industry Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. (SNM).
The collaboration will focus on four primary areas: the development and utilization of kaolin resources, the construction of green and intelligent manufacturing facilities, the creation of new mineral material products, and the establishment of a joint research and innovation platform.
Established in 2012 and headquartered in Huaibei, Anhui Province, JINYAN KAOLIN specializes in the mining, processing, and sale of coal-series kaolin. Its product portfolio includes mullite sand and powder for precision casting, mullite materials for refractories, and ceramic fibers.
These products find applications across diverse sectors such as automotive precision casting, aerospace components, high-end medical equipment, and metallurgical refractory materials.
The company achieved a listing on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in December 2025, marking it as the first enterprise from Anhui Province to complete a "NEEQ + H-share" dual listing structure.
It holds several prestigious recognitions, including status as a National High-Tech Enterprise, a National-Level Specialized and Sophisticated "Little Giant" Enterprise, and a "Sci-Tech Reform Demonstration Enterprise" under state-owned enterprise reforms.
Founded in 1959 and affiliated with China National Building Material Group, SNM is the sole Class-A design institute in China's non-metallic minerals sector.
It operates several national-level innovation platforms and boasts a six-decade track record of completing nearly a hundred major national scientific research projects and over three thousand technology development and engineering conversion initiatives.
This partnership aims to merge JINYAN KAOLIN's industrial experience in coal-series kaolin mining and integrated processing with SNM's research and development strengths in deep processing technologies for non-metallic minerals.
The joint efforts are directed towards enhancing the comprehensive utilization efficiency of kaolin resources, promoting greener production processes, and advancing the construction of intelligent factories.
In terms of industry-academia-research collaboration, JINYAN KAOLIN has previously partnered with the University of Science and Technology Beijing on a project focused on the integrated technology for the industrial application of coal-series kaolin in refractory materials, achieving phased breakthroughs in some key technologies.
The company also maintains long-term cooperative relationships with institutions like China University of Mining and Technology, resulting in multiple industrial achievements in areas such as impurity removal processes and energy-saving calcination.
Regarding capacity development, the company's mullite-based aluminum-silicon material deep processing project, upon completion, is designed to have an annual production capacity of 70,000 tons of mullite-grade ingredients.
As of June 2026, the main civil construction for this project has been finished, and it has progressed to the equipment installation phase, with commissioning scheduled within the year.
Additionally, the company's ceramic fiber business has completed its first full operational year, with products now integrated into certain refractory material supply chains.
In downstream industries, sustained demand for high-quality mullite materials exists from sectors like automotive precision casting, aerospace hot-end components, and high-end medical devices, while the refractory industry's requirements for stable, kaolin-based raw materials are also increasing.
The company stated it will advance the various cooperative projects with SNM in accordance with the agreement, simultaneously accelerate the construction progress of its deep processing production lines, continuously monitor changes in domestic and international markets, and prepare for necessary product mix adjustments.
