Hua Medicine Issues Profit Warning: Expects RMB30.20 Million Interim Loss Without 2025 One-Off Gain

Hua Medicine (Hua Medicine-B) has cautioned investors that it anticipates a loss of about RMB30.20 million for the six months ended 30 June 2026, reversing from a RMB1.18 billion profit reported in the same period of 2025.

According to the company’s preliminary, unaudited figures, the swing into the red stems mainly from the absence of a one-off RMB1.24 billion release of contract liabilities recorded in 2025 after terminating a collaboration with Bayer. Stripping out this non-recurring item, the adjusted interim loss is expected to narrow by roughly RMB29.40 million year-on-year to around RMB30.20 million from RMB59.60 million, supported by higher revenue and an improved gross profit margin.

Management is finalising full interim results, scheduled for release in August 2026. Investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s shares until the detailed report is available.
