Elderly Care Spending Subsidies Reach 2 Million Severely Disabled Seniors

As of now, a nationwide program providing elderly care spending subsidies to seniors with moderate to severe disabilities has distributed over 10.799 million vouchers, with a total value of 6.512 billion yuan. This initiative has spurred 29.093 billion yuan in elderly care-related spending, benefiting approximately 2 million moderately to severely disabled older adults.
The figures were disclosed during a quarterly press conference held by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, highlighting the program's significant impact on both supporting vulnerable seniors and stimulating economic activity in the elder care sector.
