According to monitoring data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the "Agricultural Products Wholesale Price 200 Index" stood at 115.61 on August 18, reflecting a slight increase of 0.14 points from the previous day. Meanwhile, the "Vegetable Basket" product wholesale price index reached 116.14, up 0.17 points day-on-day.

As of 2:00 PM today, the national average wholesale price of pork across agricultural product markets was 15.99 yuan per kilogram, down 0.2% from yesterday. Beef was priced at 68.25 yuan per kilogram, up 0.2%; mutton rose 1.3% to 65.89 yuan per kilogram; eggs increased 1.1% to 10.51 yuan per kilogram; and white-striped chicken declined 0.8% to 17.20 yuan per kilogram.

Among the 28 key monitored vegetable varieties, the average price settled at 4.62 yuan per kilogram, a decrease of 0.4% from the prior day. For the six key monitored fruit varieties, the average price was 6.91 yuan per kilogram, down 0.1%.

In the aquatic products segment, crucian carp averaged 20.11 yuan per kilogram, dropping 1.4%; carp fell 1.2% to 14.33 yuan per kilogram; silver carp decreased 1.4% to 10.45 yuan per kilogram; and large hairtail slipped 0.9% to 42.33 yuan per kilogram.

Among the 46 key monitored fresh agricultural products in domestic wholesale markets, the top five gainers compared with yesterday were watermelon, spinach, ya pear, lettuce, and mutton, rising 3.2%, 2.0%, 1.5%, 1.5%, and 1.3%, respectively. The top five decliners were giant peak grape, pumpkin, winter melon, Chinese cabbage, and green pepper, falling 3.3%, 3.3%, 3.2%, 3.2%, and 2.8%, respectively.
