OCBC (O39) has outlined a series of corporate actions carried out between Jul, 01 2025 and Dec, 31 2025 to streamline its structure and recycle capital.
On Oct, 09 2025 the bank completed the divestment of its entire 33.33% stake in Hong Kong Life Insurance Limited, which has ceased to be an associated company of the group.
Subsequently, on Nov, 26 2025 OCBC disposed of a 3.51% holding in Maxwealth Fund Management Company Limited for 100 million renminbi, equivalent to about 18 million Singapore dollars, trimming its interest in the Chinese fund house to 25%. The bank said the transaction is not expected to have a material effect on its net tangible assets or earnings per share for the year ending Dec, 31 2025.
OCBC also incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary, OCBC Group Private Limited, on Oct, 23 2025 with paid-up capital of 4 Singapore dollars to act as a financial holding company.
In a further streamlining step, five wholly owned nominee companies were amalgamated into Oversea-Chinese Bank Nominees Private Limited effective Jan, 19 2026.
The lender stated that all initiatives were funded through internal resources and are not expected to have a material impact on group financials for the year ending Dec, 31 2026.
