Sunpower Group Ltd. announced the appointment of Lee Suan Hiang and Lim Kuan Meng as independent non-executive directors with effect from May, 18 2026.

The board has named Lee as chairman of the Nominating Committee and a member of both the Audit and Remuneration Committees. Lim has been appointed chairman of the Audit Committee and will also serve on the Nominating and Remuneration Committees.

Following the changes, Sunpower’s board comprises seven directors, including three independent directors. The company said it now complies with Singapore Exchange requirements on the number and proportion of independent directors, as well as the composition rules for its Audit and Remuneration Committees.

Sunpower noted that its Nominating Committee is currently short of one independent director to meet the majority-independent requirement under the Code of Corporate Governance. The board plans to appoint an additional independent non-executive director within three months.

The appointments and committee changes take effect immediately.
