Prudential plc announced that it has cancelled 378,345 ordinary shares repurchased on Aug, 18 2026, with the cancellation completed on Aug, 20 2026. The move reduced the company’s issued share capital by 0.015 %, leaving 2,498,223,929 shares outstanding.
In addition, the insurer disclosed that a further 764,409 shares bought back on Aug, 19 and 20 2026 remain to be cancelled.
Under its ongoing buy-back programme, Prudential also repurchased 384,248 shares on Aug, 20 2026 via the London Stock Exchange. Since shareholders approved the current mandate on May, 14 2025, the company has repurchased 114,713,709 shares, representing about 4.40 % of the share count at the time of that resolution. The buy-back authority remains in force until Sep, 19 2026.
