Willis Lease Finance Corporation's stock fell sharply by 6.68% during intraday trading on Tuesday, following the release of its fourth-quarter financial results.

The aircraft engine leasing company reported quarterly earnings of $1.52 per share, which missed the analyst consensus estimate of $3.06 by 50.33%. This represents a significant 45.91% decrease compared to earnings of $2.81 per share in the same period last year.

Despite reporting quarterly sales of $193.618 million that beat the analyst consensus estimate of $149.000 million by 29.94%, the substantial earnings miss appears to have driven investor concerns and the stock's decline. The company's Q4 net income dropped from $2.81 per diluted share a year earlier to $1.52, falling well short of analyst expectations.
