Hong Kong’s Takeovers and Mergers Panel on 30 May 2026 disclosed that BlackRock, Inc.—classified as a Class (6) associate of ENN Energy Holdings—undertook a series of on-market trades in ENN Energy shares on 29 May 2026, the day after the company announced plans for privatisation by scheme of arrangement.
Across 19 transactions, BlackRock bought 1.09 million shares and sold 1.04 million, resulting in a net acquisition of 55,006 shares. Trade prices ranged from HK$54.28 to HK$54.90 per share.
Gross consideration for purchases totalled approximately HK$59.84 million, while sales proceeds reached about HK$57.49 million, implying a net cash outflow of roughly HK$2.35 million.
Following the dealings, BlackRock’s holding in ENN Energy increased to 70.70 million shares, representing 6.25 % of the company’s issued share capital, up marginally from earlier in the trading day.
The disclosure was made under Rule 22 of the Hong Kong Code on Takeovers and Mergers as part of ongoing monitoring during ENN Energy’s proposed privatisation. BlackRock executed the transactions on behalf of discretionary investment clients.
