Viking Holdings Ltd. (VIK) surged 5.26% in pre-market trading on Thursday, following the release of its first-quarter financial results and the announcement of a leadership transition.

The cruise operator reported a narrower adjusted loss of $0.11 per share for Q1 2026, beating the analyst consensus estimate of a $0.13 loss and improving from a loss of $0.24 per share a year ago. Revenue rose 17.5% year-over-year to $1.05 billion, also exceeding Wall Street expectations of $1.01 billion, driven by increased capacity and higher revenue per passenger cruise day.

Concurrently, the company announced that Chief Financial Officer Leah Talactac has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer, replacing Torstein Hagen, who will assume the role of Executive Chairman. Linh Banh, Executive Vice President of Finance, has been named the new CFO. The company also reported it is 92% booked for the full year 2026, indicating strong forward demand.
