Aon Names Darren Van't Hof to Lead Tax Credit Finance for Transaction Solutions

Aon plc (NYSE: AON) has announced that Darren Van't Hof will serve as the head of tax credit finance for its Transaction Solutions division, effective August 17, 2026. Van't Hof will join the company's North American tax insurance team, concentrating on advancing tax credit insurance solutions that support tax equity investments, as well as the transfer of renewable energy tax credits and other tax benefits. His role will help clients navigate opportunities in a rapidly shifting market, enabling more confident decisions in tax credit financing, mergers and acquisitions, and other transactions.

Van't Hof is a recognized leader in the U.S. renewable energy sector, with years of experience financing renewable energy projects and companies. Prior to joining Aon, he served as the interim President and CEO of the Solar Energy Industries Association, where he worked closely with business leaders, policymakers, and investors during the industry's rapid growth phase. Earlier, he founded and led the Impact Finance business at U.S. Bank, creating a leading platform for renewable energy tax credit investments. His cross-sector experience in renewable energy finance, tax credit investment, and public policy will provide valuable support to Aon's clients as they navigate complex tax, M&A, and transaction risks.
