KB Laminates (01888) saw its shares plummet 5.08% during intraday trading on Tuesday, extending recent weakness in the stock.
The sharp decline comes as semiconductor research firm SemiAnalysis disclosed that NVIDIA's Kyber NVL144 high-end compute rack faces significant challenges in PCB mid-board manufacturing processes, with the overall timeline delayed by more than 12 months to 2028. The alternative NVL72x2 back-to-back architecture has also been cancelled.
As a leading copper clad laminate manufacturer that had previously benefited from AI compute demand and multiple price hikes this year, the postponement of high-end demand coupled with profit-taking pressure is weighing heavily on the stock. The broader electronic components sector also remains weak, with peers showing declines.
