STANCHART repurchases 366,470 shares on 12 Aug 2026, lifting year-to-date buybacks to 26.62 million shares

Standard Chartered PLC (STANCHART) disclosed that it repurchased 366,470 ordinary shares on 12 August 2026 across the London Stock Exchange, CBOE BXE and CBOE CXE.

• Transaction size: 366,470 shares, representing 0.0167% of the bank’s 2.19 billion issued shares (excluding treasury shares).

• Price range: GBP 21.98 to GBP 22.28 per share; total consideration reached GBP 8.12 million.

• Cancellation plan: All shares bought on 12 August 2026 are intended for cancellation. No shares were acquired for treasury purposes.

• Outstanding yet-to-be-cancelled stock: Including purchases on 10 August (366,641 shares) and 11 August (363,013 shares), 1.10 million shares are pending cancellation.

Share capital remains at 2,188,445,813 shares before cancellation. The current authority, granted by shareholders on 7 May 2026, allows the bank to buy back up to 221.63 million shares. Since that mandate, STANCHART has repurchased 26.62 million shares, equivalent to 1.20% of the share count at the time of approval.
