Foreign Ministry Responds to Report of Commercial Drone Approaching Chinese Warship

The Foreign Ministry addressed a query on July 30 regarding a commercial drone reportedly operating near a Chinese naval vessel. During a routine press conference, spokesperson Mao Ning responded to a Reuters inquiry about the incident, which allegedly occurred in the Philippines' exclusive economic zone.

Mao Ning stated that the Chinese military consistently conducts its activities in full compliance with international law and customary international practices. She also cautioned relevant parties to avoid dangerous close approaches to Chinese naval ships, in order to prevent potential maritime or aerial incidents.
