Court Has Not Issued Winding-Up Order Against WATER INDUSTRY

WATER INDUSTRY (01129) announced that after market hours on May 21, 2026, the company received a notice from a creditor, Shao Bin, regarding an outstanding debt of HKD 2 million. This debt represents the unpaid principal amount of bonds issued by the company on November 6, 2018. Shao Bin, identified as the sixth supporting creditor (collectively referred to as "the Supporting Creditors" along with the third and fifth supporting creditors), indicated his intention to attend the petition hearing scheduled for May 27, 2026, to support the winding-up petition against the company. As of the date of this announcement, the court has not issued any winding-up order to liquidate the company. As previously disclosed, the company is currently engaged in amicable discussions with the petitioner regarding the settlement of the outstanding amounts payable. The company will also actively explore any possible settlement plans with the Supporting Creditors. WATER INDUSTRY will strive to maintain proactive and constructive communication with both the petitioner and the Supporting Creditors. Acting under principles fair to other creditors, the company aims to resolve the matter through friendly negotiation, including efforts to have the petition withdrawn promptly.
