HUADIAN POWER Reports Annual Profit of 6.07 Billion Yuan, Up 1.4%

HUADIAN POWER (01071) announced its annual results for the period ending December 31, 2025. The group recorded total operating revenue of 126.013 billion yuan, a decrease of 10.95% compared to the previous year. Net profit attributable to owners of the parent company was 6.07 billion yuan, an increase of 1.4% year-on-year. Basic earnings per share were 0.49 yuan, and the company proposed a full-year cash dividend of 0.23 yuan per share.

As of the end of the reporting period, the group's installed power generation capacity under its control was 77,924.288 megawatts. After further accounting, the group's total electricity generation in 2025 was 262.27 million megawatt-hours, a decrease of approximately 7.15% compared to the restated data from the same period last year. Electricity sold reached 246.45 million megawatt-hours, down approximately 7.09% from the restated prior-year figure.

The average utilization hours of the group's generating units were 3,427 hours, a decrease of 378 hours from the same period last year. Among these, coal-fired generating units recorded 3,874 utilization hours, down 294 hours year-on-year; gas-fired units recorded 2,128 hours, down 24 hours; and hydroelectric units recorded 4,071 hours, an increase of 707 hours from the previous year. The coal consumption rate for power supply was 283.05 grams per kilowatt-hour.

The group's total profit in 2025 was approximately 10.648 billion yuan, an increase of 9.03% compared to the restated data from the previous year. This was mainly due to the combined effects of lower coal prices, reduced electricity prices, and decreased power generation. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company was approximately 6.07 billion yuan, up 1.39% from the restated prior-year figure.

For 2026, the company expects to generate approximately 240 million megawatt-hours of electricity. Based on the progress of various projects, the company plans to invest around 19 billion yuan in 2026 for the construction of power projects, environmental and energy-saving technological upgrades, and equity investments.
