Signet Jewelers' stock surged 5.17% in pre-market trading on Tuesday, following the release of its first-quarter financial results.

The significant price movement is driven by the company reporting adjusted earnings per share of $1.56 for the quarter, which substantially exceeded analyst estimates of $1.36. Quarterly revenue of $1.55 billion also came in above expectations. Furthermore, Signet raised its full-year sales and profit outlook, now forecasting sales between $6.7 billion and $6.9 billion and adjusted EPS in the range of $9.20 to $11.00. The positive investor sentiment was also bolstered by the company's announcement of a $50 million accelerated share repurchase program.
