On the morning of July 27, 2026, at the start of trading, most domestic futures contracts were trading lower, with a noticeable decline in the energy sector.
Among the major losers, SC crude oil dropped nearly 7%, while low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) fell over 6%. Fuel oil was down nearly 6%, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) fell over 5%. Styrene (EB) and pure benzene declined nearly 4%, synthetic rubber fell over 3%, and asphalt dropped nearly 3%.
On the upside, silver gained over 3%, caustic soda rose over 2%, and platinum, palladium, tin, apples, lithium carbonate, gold, and glass all advanced over 1%. Ferrosilicon was up nearly 1%.
