Drilling Contract Moves Gold Project Toward Target Verification

On October 8th, a drilling contract pushed an exploration program into the execution preparation stage.

GO Markets stated that on October 5th, Total Metals announced it had signed an agreement and paid the first deposit for at least 2,500 meters of diamond drilling at the High Lake gold project in Canada.

The company expects to commence operations soon, but has not yet released assay results for this new round of drill holes.

The program will focus on the Purdex mining area and interpreted structural trends.

GO Markets believes that fault intersections or flexure locations can serve as test subjects for geological hypotheses, but target prioritization does not mean new resources have already been discovered.

The contract allows for scale adjustments based on results and considers adding drill rigs after favorable discoveries, reflecting a phased approach to using the exploration budget.

The high-grade intervals cited in the announcement come from historical drilling and must not be misrepresented as newly obtained results from this round.

Old data can help determine hole locations, but new work still requires confirmation of extensions through sampling, assaying, and model updates.

Mineralization being open in multiple directions indicates that boundaries remain to be studied, encompassing both expansion potential and uncertainty regarding resource scale and continuity.

There is also a time lag between operational progress and geological results: completing a drill hole does not mean reliable assays have been received, and subsequent disclosures still need to preserve the necessary verification process.

When observing next steps, GO Markets analysis suggests first confirming equipment mobilization and drilling commencement, then tracking effective footage, sample submission, and result publication.

If new holes support the original interpretation, there will be a more solid basis for subsequent infill drilling; if results deviate from expectations, targets will need adjustment.

The project's current substantive progress is the contract and operational preparation, which cannot be equated in advance with resource growth.
