Hong Kong Dollar Interbank Rates Diverge as One-Month HIBOR Falls for Eighth Straight Day to 2.75%, a More Than Six-Week Low

On October 9, Hong Kong dollar interbank rates moved in mixed directions, with the one-month HIBOR, which is linked to mortgage loans, quoted at 2.75000%, down 1.494 basis points.
The three-month HIBOR, which reflects banks' funding costs, was quoted at 3.28571%, down 1.245 basis points.
The overnight rate was quoted at 2.21762%, up 4.941 basis points; the one-week HIBOR rose 15.678 basis points to 2.54357%, while the two-week rate gained 5.595 basis points to 2.55595%.
The two-month HIBOR fell 1.113 basis points to 2.98857%.
Among longer-term rates, the six-month HIBOR dropped 1.149 basis points to 3.53000%, while the one-year rate declined 1.494 basis points to 3.98506%.
