A major South Korean feed organization has issued an international tender to purchase up to 140,000 tonnes of feed corn. The deadline for submitting bids is May 22.
According to the tender plan, the corn will be delivered in two separate shipments, with each shipment ranging from 55,000 to 70,000 tonnes. The first shipment is expected to arrive in South Korea around September 30 of this year, while the second shipment is anticipated to arrive around October 5. The tender offers flexibility regarding the origin of the cargo. Acceptable loading locations include the U.S. Pacific Northwest coast, the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, South America, and South Africa. Depending on the origin and shipping distance, the loading period for both shipments is scheduled between late July and mid-September.
