KBL expects H1-2026 net profit to exceed HK$2.80 billion, up more than 200%

Kingboard Laminates Holdings Limited (KBL) issued a positive profit alert, projecting net profit of more than HK$2.80 billion for the six months ended 30 June 2026. The figure represents year-on-year growth of over 200% compared with the corresponding period in 2025.

The board attributed the sharp earnings expansion to a tight market for laminate products and key upstream materials—electronic fibreglass yarn, electronic fibreglass fabric and copper foil. During the reporting period, unit prices for these products rose significantly, while sales volume of laminates also increased. An acute supply shortage across the value chain and KBL’s vertically integrated business model further supported profitability.

The profit alert is based on unaudited management accounts and may be subject to adjustments. KBL plans to release its full interim results on 24 August 2026 in accordance with Hong Kong Listing Rules. Shareholders and potential investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s securities until the detailed announcement is published.
