BRP Inc's stock soared 5.11% during intraday trading on Thursday, following the release of its fourth-quarter financial results that exceeded analyst expectations.
The recreational vehicle manufacturer reported quarterly adjusted earnings of $1.59 per share, beating the consensus estimate of $1.49 by 6.71%, with revenue of $1.771 billion surpassing the $1.690 billion forecast. The company also posted normalized earnings of CA$2.21 per share, up significantly from CA$1.05 a year earlier, while revenue rose to CA$2.46 billion from CA$2.12 billion.
BRP's strong performance was driven by market share gains in North America for off-road vehicles and snowmobiles, with retail sales up 12% in the region. The company backed its positive outlook with a 16% increase to its quarterly dividend and provided optimistic guidance for fiscal 2027, projecting revenue between CA$8.90 billion and CA$9.15 billion, above analyst expectations of CA$8.84 billion.
