Skyworth Shares Surge Over 6% in Morning Trading on Forecast of Stellar Profit Jump

SKYWORTH GROUP (00751) shares climbed more than 6% in early trading, and were last up 2.71% at HK$4.555, with a turnover of HK$3.9019 million.

The company announced on August 4 that it expects its unaudited profit after tax for the six months ending June 30, 2026, to increase by no less than 170% compared to the same period a year earlier.

Two key factors are driving the anticipated profit surge. First, the fair value of certain listed and unlisted equity securities held by the group has risen sharply due to a significant increase in the semiconductor industry's market valuation by the end of the period. This has resulted in non-cash and unrealized gains on financial assets measured at fair value through profit or loss, which increased by approximately RMB 530 million compared to the same period last year. Second, the smart system technology business segment has seen growth in the number of smart terminals sold, revenue scale, and gross margin compared to the prior corresponding period.
