Shares of RIBOLIFE-B (06938) jumped more than 9% in early trading, last up 8.9% at HK$58.15 with turnover reaching HK$32.03 million.

On the news front, Hang Seng Indexes Company announced its semi-annual index review results on August 21, with RIBOLIFE-B being added to the Hang Seng Composite Index. The adjustment will take effect after the market close on September 4 and become effective on September 7, at which point the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges will correspondingly update the eligible securities list for the Stock Connect program. Following its inclusion in the Hang Seng Composite Index, the company's shares are expected to simultaneously qualify as eligible targets for Stock Connect southbound trading.

RIBOLIFE-B previously forecast first-half revenue of approximately RMB 311 million to RMB 436 million, representing year-on-year growth of 200% to 320%. This anticipated surge is primarily attributed to the recognition of license revenue from the company's global exclusive licensing collaboration with Madrigal Pharmaceuticals, Inc, along with revenue recognized upon achieving milestones in its partnership with Boehringer Ingelheim International GmbH. Both collaborations involve the development and commercialization of small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapeutics for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH).
