Ally Financial Inc.'s stock surged 5.89% in pre-market trading on Friday, following the release of its first-quarter fiscal 2026 financial results that significantly exceeded analyst expectations.
The Detroit-based financial services company reported adjusted earnings per share of $1.11, beating the FactSet consensus estimate of $0.93 and representing a 90% increase year-over-year. The company posted net income attributable to common shareholders of $291 million, reversing a loss from the same period last year. GAAP total net revenue climbed 36% to $2.1 billion, while consumer auto originations increased 13% to $11.5 billion.

The earnings beat and substantial year-over-year improvements across key financial metrics drove investor optimism during the pre-market session.
