During the 2026 World Robot Conference, an industry forum centered on embodied intelligent robotics was held in Beijing on August 20, under the theme "Scenario-Driven, Industry-Demand Integration." The event was guided by the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Jiangsu Province, hosted by the Jiangsu Embodied Intelligent Robot Industry Alliance, and organized by Magic Atom Robotics Technology Co., Ltd.
A senior official from the Jiangsu provincial department delivered a keynote address, highlighting the province's strategic commitment to the embodied intelligence robot sector. The official noted that Jiangsu has incorporated this field into its "1650" industrial system for priority development, selecting 100 typical application scenarios across two batches. The province has also established three provincial-level innovation centers and four data collection and training centers. Furthermore, nine national major science and technology projects are being implemented on a rolling basis, with eight companies shortlisted in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's humanoid robot program. Embodied intelligent robots have been designated as a key focus for collaborative innovation,短板补齐, and first-set equipment certification within the "1650" system, receiving preferential policy support.
Data released at the forum revealed that Jiangsu's embodied intelligence robot industry reached a scale of 59.78 billion yuan in the first half of this year, a year-on-year increase of 28.3%. Core industry revenue hit 2.97 billion yuan, up 44.2% year-on-year. Humanoid robot complete machines surpassed 6,000 units shipped in the first half alone, compared to 2,000 units for all of last year. The province boasts a complete industrial chain, covering entire machines, the "brain and cerebellum," and key components such as dexterous hands, joint modules, planetary roller screws, reducers, controllers, six-dimensional force sensors, hollow cup motors, specialized bearings, and electronic skin. Notably, joint modules, which hold the highest value share, account for over half of national shipments.
Leading enterprises are rapidly gaining prominence. Magic Atom made appearances at the 2026 CCTV Spring Festival Gala and the 79th Cannes Film Festival, securing its place in the national first tier. Youliqi claimed second place in the gold medal standings at the World Humanoid Robot Games, while Tianchuang Intelligent achieved the world's first IICT6 explosion-proof certification for humanoid robots in industrial hazardous environments.
Looking ahead, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology will continue to strengthen policy support, solidify project implementation, deepen scenario applications, and aggregate resource factors. The goal is to position Jiangsu as a globally influential hub for the embodied intelligence robot industry.
