China Everbright Water (U9E) posts lower 1H2026 profit amid revenue slide

China Everbright Water Limited (U9E) has released its unaudited results for the six months ended Jun, 30 2026.

The company reported revenue of 2,391.7 million Singapore dollars, down 27% from a year earlier. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) fell 10% year on year to 1,078.3 million Singapore dollars, while net profit attributable to shareholders declined 8% to 517.6 million Singapore dollars. Basic earnings per share came in at 18.09 Singapore cents, compared with 19.71 Singapore cents in the same period last year.

Gross profit margin improved to 51% from 42% previously. The board declared an unchanged interim dividend of 1.00 Singapore cent per share.

Operationally, the group treated approximately 888.71 million cubic metres of wastewater, supplied 46.42 million cubic metres of raw water and delivered 19.97 million cubic metres of reclaimed water during the period. It also started construction on four new projects with a combined designed treatment capacity of 30,000 cubic metres per day and commissioned two projects totalling 20,000 cubic metres per day.

As at Jun, 30 2026, China Everbright Water held 173 environmental projects with total invested capital of about 319.4 billion Chinese yuan, and its combined designed water treatment and supply capacity exceeded 7.6 million cubic metres per day, including entrusted-operation projects.

Looking ahead, management said it will continue to focus on improving operating efficiency, expanding its asset-light business and strengthening liquidity management.
