BQD Issues Follow-Up Notice on Electronic Distribution of Corporate Communications

Bulletin Express
Apr 24

Bank of Qingdao Co., Ltd. (BQD) has sent a reminder dated 24 April 2026 to non-registered shareholders highlighting its move to fully electronic dissemination of all future corporate communications.

Key elements:

1. Regulatory basis • The arrangement follows the amended Rule 2.07A of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange Listing Rules, effective 31 December 2023, which promotes a paperless listing regime. • BQD initially notified shareholders of the change on 22 April 2024; the latest letter serves as a reminder.

2. Scope of “Corporate Communications” • Documents covered include directors’ reports, audited annual accounts (or summary financial reports), interim reports, notices of meeting, listing documents, circulars and proxy forms. • Both English and Chinese versions will be uploaded to the bank’s website (www.qdccb.com) and the HKEXnews platform (www.hkexnews.hk); printed copies will no longer be dispatched by default.

3. Shareholder actions required • Shareholders must check the designated websites to stay informed or subscribe to HKEX’s free “News Alert” email service. • Non-registered shareholders who wish to receive actionable corporate communications—such as dividend election forms or documents related to rights issues, takeovers or share buy-backs—must arrange this through their banks, brokers, custodians or other intermediaries, providing a mailing or email address where necessary. • To continue receiving printed copies, investors must complete and return the enclosed reply form to Computershare Hong Kong Investor Services Limited or email ir@qdbankchina.com. The request remains valid until revoked, replaced or until BQD issues its next annual report, whichever comes first.

4. Disclaimer specific to Hong Kong • BQD is not an authorized institution under Hong Kong’s Banking Ordinance and is therefore not supervised by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority nor licensed to conduct banking or deposit-taking business in Hong Kong.
