Historic Market Surge as Trump Announces Delay in Iran Military Action

Deep News
Mar 23

Global financial markets experienced a significant surge following a major announcement. The development has sparked widespread investor optimism.

On the evening of March 23, an unexpected announcement was made regarding military actions against Iran. The directive orders a postponement of all planned strikes.

The full statement is as follows: I am pleased to announce that over the past two days, the United States has engaged in very good and productive dialogue with Iran aimed at comprehensively and thoroughly resolving our hostile situation in the Middle East. Based on the overall atmosphere and tone reflected in these in-depth, detailed, and constructive exchanges—with related talks continuing this week—I have instructed the Department of War (Defense Department) to postpone all military strike operations targeting Iran's power generation facilities and energy infrastructure for five days. This is contingent upon the progress and outcomes of the current talks and consultations.

A subsequent message elaborated on the objectives. The text states: We are very close to achieving our established goals, while also considering a gradual end to our significant military operations against the Iranian "terrorist regime" in the Middle East: (1) Completely degrade Iran's missile capabilities, launchers, and everything related to them. (2) Destroy Iran's defense industrial base. (3) Eliminate its navy and air force, including air defense weapon systems. (4) Never allow Iran to approach nuclear capability and always ensure the United States can respond swiftly and forcefully if such a situation arises. (5) Protect our allies in the Middle East at the highest level, including Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, and others. The Strait of Hormuz should be guarded and regulated by other countries that use the waterway when necessary—the U.S. will not bear this responsibility! If requested, we will assist these countries with related operations in the Strait of Hormuz, but once the Iranian threat is eliminated, this will no longer be necessary. Importantly, this will be a very easy military operation for them.

Following the news, global markets reacted strongly, with various assets experiencing sharp increases. U.S. stock futures surged, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average futures up approximately 1000 points in pre-market trading. China's A50 futures rose nearly 2%. European markets continued to climb, with the Euro Stoxx 50 index up 3.51%, France's CAC 40 index up 2.62%, Germany's DAX 30 index up 4.26%, and Italy's FTSE MIB index up 2.22%.

The prices of gold and silver saw rapid increases.

In the crude oil market, prices experienced a significant decline.

This market movement has created opportunities for investors who entered positions earlier.
