FMC Corp's stock surged 6.14% in after-hours trading following the release of its first quarter 2026 financial results.
The agricultural sciences company reported quarterly results that exceeded analyst expectations across key metrics. FMC posted an adjusted loss per share of $0.02, significantly better than the estimated loss of $0.33, while revenue of $758.6 million surpassed the $744.4 million forecast. Additionally, adjusted EBITDA of $72 million came in well above the $57.7 million estimate.
The company reaffirmed its full-year 2026 outlook for revenue, adjusted EBITDA, adjusted EPS, and free cash flow. Management also provided second-quarter guidance, expecting adjusted EPS in the range of $0.16 to $0.26 and revenue between $850 million and $900 million. The company further announced it is progressing with a board-authorized evaluation of strategic alternatives and targets approximately $1 billion in debt reduction for 2026.
